In a few days, the country will mark
the first anniversary of a deadly fire and flood disaster in Accra that claimed
nearly two hundred lives.
About 150 people lost their lives on
June 3, 2015, during a downpour amidst a fire incident at the Goil
Fuel Station at Circle in Accra.
The government claims it has put in
a number of measures to mitigate the impact of floods since the disaster, but
is this really the case?
In this report, Citi News’
Eugenia Tenkorang seeks to raise awareness on the preparation or the lack of it
in the event of another major disaster.
