Seven people have been burnt to
death as a result of fire that gutted their house on Friday dawn when they were
asleep in Asante Mampong in the Ashanti region.
Nhyira FM’s Nana Boateng told Adom
News a couple who were also at the house on a visit were burnt beyond
recognition by the fire which was believed to have started around 3am.
The bodies have been deposited at
the Mampong hospital for autopsy.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire
Service failed in their attempts to rescue the man and his four children
as well as the couple.
The cause of the fire is not yet
known.
The police and the fire service
personnel are investigating the cause of the fire.
