Alavanyo snr high school defy all odds to win the 2015/2016 inter School and college's sports festival held in the Hohoe municipality.
Eleven schools drawn from the Afadzato and the Hohoe municipality all converged at the Hohoe E. p SHS for the week long event.
The school met stiffer oppositions from Smasco, Lesec and Afastech.Hepss which is a power house in the Northen zone was beaten by Astech, the final match was a derby because the two finalist were all from Alavanyo, the game was won from free kick which was converted by Afetorgbor Felix .
Speaking the headmaster of the school he was delighted the squad won the trophy pending their 25th anniversary celebration which will be held later in the year.
The headmaster said the school spent over 8,000gh to prepare, transport and feed the team at the games village.
He said one thing that the needed most is a school bus.
The female team of the school were also runners up as they lost to Hepss ladies on penalties,Dada Mariam Yusif was the most valuable player of the tournament ladies division.
