Janet Amponsah Edem, a 4yr old child was defiled by a 40yr old Mason, Ernest Tettey at Sovie-Konda in the Volta Region on Wednesday,27/7/2016.

Victim who was bleeding profusely was rushed to Roman Catholic Hospital Anfoega and responding to treatment.

The suspect admitted he had carnal knowledge with the child because she proposed to him.

After the act and saw the manner the victim was bleeding he carried her and dumped her at the compound of Sovie Memorial School Compound and bolted.

The father among others who were searching for child due to her unusual absence found her helplessly lying down within the said school compound bleeding rushed her to the Anfoega Police Station where he was advised to rushed her to Hospital.

Suspect Ernest Tettey who was arraigned before Vakpo Magistrate Court has been remanded until 11/08/2016 to enable Police complete their investigation and put him before a higher court of jurisdiction.
