The St. Teresa’s College of Education in the Hohoe municipality has
held its 9th Annual congregation, where two hundred and five
students have been graduated.
At the occasion the principal of
St. Teresa’s College of Education Madam Kutin Tandor have revealed that, the school
has chalked many academic successes, including winning national awards in the
year 2012.
She has therefore advised the student to make good use of their time in
order to benefit from this educational awards and scholarships.
Speaking on the theme; Transforming Basic Education and Learning:
The
Role of The Newly Trained Female Teacher, the guest speaker madam Rudith King
from the Kwame Nkrumah university of Science and Technology has noted that, the
field of science has been dominated by males over the years.
She is however entreating all the female teachers to develop interest
in the subject of science and mathematics, this she said will enhance on the
learning and teaching of these subjects among the school children
The Formal SRC president madam Confident Emefa Denku swept 5 wards and
has been adjudged the overall Best Student.
Madam Denku however advised all students to make good use of their time
since that’s the only way they can be successful.
The graduation saw dignitaries including Bishops from the catholic
dioceses, heads of department, representative from the Ghana Education Service,
chiefs and queen mothers of the Hohoe municipality.
