#Hohoe Stadium to be revived

Sooner than later, the Hohoe sports stadium constructions which came to a halt 10years ago will be revived again.

The Member of Parliament for Hohoe constituency Dr. Mrs Bernice Adiku Heloo made this known over the weekend as members of  the United  Cadre’s Fronts in Hohoe marks the  37^th Annual June 4^th celebration with a health walk.

Dr. Heloo said, the Mahama administrations is interested in youth development and, since the stadium will contribute to the empowerment of youth in the area of sports, she will equally helped and advocate for the stadium to be constructed.

She has however pledge that, she will personally make sure the whole stadium will be weeded and cleared for the constructions to begin in no time and she has also promised  football poles for the stadium.

However, the Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Peter Worlanyo Abomah said the Hohoe municipal Assembly will put in their maximum efforts to make sure that the dreams of the residents of Hohoe of owning a stadium in the municipality will be fulfilled.

The chairman of the United Cadre’s Front, Mr. William Chidiak in his address, entreated the youth to join the United Cadre’s Front group since most of the members are aging and fading away.

The June 4 uprising was a violent uprising in 1979 that arose out of a combination of perceived corruption, bad governance, lack of discipline and frustrations in the army.
